Who we are
Crispin Sash is a trading name of Jack Smith, of Reigate, Surrey. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at sales@crispinsash.co.uk or on 020 3411 1645.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry. Your name, email address, telephone number, the postcode of the property, its listed or conservation status, the number of openings, anything you write in the message box, and the estimate you built if you left one attached. We use this to answer your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quotation. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch, and, once you engage us, performance of a contract.
When you use the estimator. The openings you enter are saved in your own browser so the figures are still there if you come back. They stay on your device and are not sent anywhere unless you choose to send an enquiry, in which case the summary travels with it. Clearing them is one click on the estimator itself, or you can clear your browser storage for this site.
Where your enquiry came from. When an enquiry is sent we record how you reached the site: the search engine, social network or other website that referred you, or the campaign tag on a link you clicked, along with the page you first landed on. This tells us which of our advertising is worth continuing and which is not. It is held only for the length of your visit, in your own browser, and it is deleted when you close the tab. It contains no identifier that would let us recognise you on a later visit, and none of it goes to any third party.
When you simply visit. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
Who else is involved
- Netlify hosts the site and receives enquiry form submissions.
- Our email provider, through whom your enquiry reaches our inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces this site uses, which means your browser requests them from Google and Google receives your IP address in the process.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with other window companies, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records for six years after completion, because that is how long a claim could be brought and how long our guarantee and Building Regulations paperwork needs to be available to you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to sales@crispinsash.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all, and uses no third party analytics or advertising tools. It uses two pieces of browser storage, both first party and neither used to track you across other websites. The estimator saves what you entered so it is still there when you return, and is cleared with the button on the estimator itself. The record of how you reached the site is held only until you close the tab.
